March 2020: Drone exploration of the crater of the 2011 eruption in Puyehue-Cordon Caulle volcano (PCC), Southern Chile.

In 2011 the PCC had an explosive eruption (VEI ≤ 5) of rhyolitic magma, forming eruption a laccolith. This video explores the crater and the laccolith, both still cooling down (steaming) after 9 years.

I am exploring the hydrothermal system of PCC trying to understand the connection with the volcanic systems. How volcanic eruptions are affecting hydrothermal systems? What hydrothermal systems can tell us about volcanic unrest?.
